PRAXIS II Prep: Elementary Education What should I expect?

Register for Praxis Core Prep Course

 5-week intensive test preparation course intended for individuals who have strong content knowledge but need to review test-taking strategies in timed conditions. Each workshop is focused exclusively on the content of each subtest. Students have the option to enroll in several workshops or only select preparation for the subtest they need (English, Social Studies, Math, and Science).

Offered: Twice each semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer). 

Duration: Depends on the subtest workshop selected.

 

  • English/Social Studies/Math/ Science 1 hr. once a week for 5 weeks
or
  • All subtests for 4 hrs. 30 minutes once a week for 5 weeks

 

Class size: Small (2 – 30 students)

 

All Praxis Core Pathways will be conducted using Google Classroom. Students will need a Gmail account to utilize all of the workshop resources. (BC students will use their BC email account.)

 

Student Learning Outcomes for all options

  • Students taking this course will identify their deficiencies through pre and post-assessments.
  • Review content students have identified as their deficiencies through the pre-assessment.
  • Develop critical test-taking skills by providing students with a detailed overview of the test format, content, and scoring.
  • Test the student's knowledge using sample questions that reflect the content and format of the test.
