PRAXIS II Prep: Early Childhood What should I expect?
5-week intensive test preparation course intended for individuals who have strong content knowledge but need to review test-taking strategies in timed conditions. The workshop is comprehensive in nature and covers all sections of the exam which includes: language and literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, health, and physical education/creative and performing arts.
Offered: Twice each semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
Duration: 2 hrs. once a week for 5 weeks
Class size: Small (2 – 30 students)
All Praxis Core Pathways will be conducted using Google Classroom. Students will need a Gmail account to utilize all of the workshop resources. (BC students will use their BC email account.)
Student Learning Outcomes
- Students taking this course will identify their deficiencies through pre and post-assessments.
- Review content students have identified as their deficiencies through the pre-assessment.
- Develop critical test-taking skills by providing students with a detailed overview of the test format, content, and scoring.
- Test the student's knowledge using sample questions that reflect the content and format of the test.
