5 Day Boot Camp (Math & Verbal) - Test prep for individuals that need an intense refresher of content. 

 

 

 

Praxis Core Math Topics Include:

• Pre and Post assessments
• Test-taking strategies
• Geometry
• Algebra
• Number & Quantity
• Statistics & probability

Praxis Core Verbal Topics Include:

• Pre and Post assessments
• Test-taking strategies
• Integration of knowledge & ideas
• Reading comprehension overview: skimming and answering questions
• Key ideas & detail
• Logic
• Errors in writing
• Writing conventions 
• Argumentative essay
• Research essay

Offered: Winter break, spring break, and summer

 

Duration: 2 hrs. for 1 week (5 days)

Class size: Small (2 – 30 students)

 

All Praxis Core Pathways will be conducted using Google Classroom. Students will need a Gmail account to utilize all of the workshop resources. (BC students will use their BC email account.)

 

Student Learning Outcomes 

● Students taking this course will identify their deficiencies through pre and post-assessments. 

● Review content students have identified as their deficiencies through the pre-assessment. 

● Develop critical test-taking skills by providing students with a detailed overview of the test format, content, and scoring. 

● Test the student's knowledge using sample questions that reflect the content and format of the test.
