What is the Praxis Core Exam?
The Praxis Core math (5733) and verbal (Reading 5712, Writing 5722) tests are required or accepted for admission into many teacher prep programs and for teacher certification in most states.
Praxis Core Prep Pathways to Success
Praxis Core Test Prep workshops are offered online, face-to-face, and boot camp intensive. Students have the option to choose the style that best meets their individual needs. All workshops are designed for individuals that have prior experience with content knowledge.
5-week Praxis Core Math and/or Verbal - Intensive test prep for individuals who have strong content knowledge but need to review test-taking strategies in timed conditions.
5 Day Boot Camp (Verbal and/or Math) - Test prep for individuals that need an intense refresher of content.
4- week Online Praxis Core Test Prep (Verbal & Math) - Instruction is self-paced and focuses on content refreshing. Instructors will offer weekly asynchronous chat sessions, targeted information videos, and practice tests.
Attention current BC Students: Please go to the CITEL page after accessing your MyBloomfield Portal Page to receive your code for test prep services (You will be required to present your valid BC ID card at each workshop to verify that you are a current student).
Effective July 1, 2020: All Bloomfield College students will be required to pay a $20 non-refundable fee to reserve their place for any test prep session.
Alumni: Please email test_center@bloomfield.edu with your student ID number to request the 30% alumni discount code for test prep services.
Refund Policy: Refunds will not be given for services that have already been rendered. Only an exchange of services will be provided in the form of a workshop at a different time.
Parking is available in the main campus lot located at 225 Liberty Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 (Inquire at Security Office). Metered street parking is also available.
