Type Description
Q: What is the BC Pass Card?
A: The BC Pass Card is the official identification (ID) card of Bloomfield College. It is issued to all members of the College Community and is required for identification and access to essential campus services such as borrowing Library books, reserving Library study rooms, screening media in the Media Center, and entrance to the dining cafeteria. The photo taken for your BC Pass card will not only be printed on your BC Pass card but will also be loaded into your electronic student (or faculty/staff) record. The BC Pass offers users the ability to add monetary funds to a convenient pre-paid account, called BCBucks, for making purchases on campus. All active students, faculty, and staff at Bloomfield College are currently eligible to receive a BC Pass Card.
Q: How do I get my BC Pass Card?
A: All registered students and active employees are issued a BC Pass Card via the ID Card Center located near the Information Technology Help Desk at 185 Liberty Street. The hours of operation are found at www.bloomfield.edu/bcpass. Be sure to bring appropriate identification as indicated in the BCPass Identity Verification Policy.
Q: Why am I required to register my BC Pass Card online?
A: Registering your BC Pass Card online will provide you with the only way to suspend your card if it is lost or stolen after school business hours and when the College is closed. Although there are safeguards against fraudulent use, users are responsible for the monetary funds placed on their BC Pass card.
Q: What if I lose my BC Pass Card?
A: Immediately report a lost or stolen card to the BC Office of Security located at 225 Liberty Street, Lower Level (973-748-9000, X1366) to file a Security Report of a lost or missing card. To suspend your BC Bucks account, log into your account through bcpass.campuscardcenter.com or by calling the Bloomfield College BCPass Service Center at Center at 888-989-3534, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 6 pm Eastern Time. Replacement cards are issued at the ID Card Center located near the Information Technology Help Desk at 185 Liberty Street. A $25 fee must be paid prior to obtaining your replacement card. The fee is paid at the Office of Student Financial Services, located in Knox Hall, and a receipt is issued to you. You must present your receipt at the ID Card Center plus appropriate identification before a new card will be issued. Refer to the BCPass Identity Verification Policy to determine what is appropriate identification.
Q: What if I find my reported lost BC Pass Card?
A: If you find your ID Card after it has been reported lost, you may re-activate the Campus Cash (BC Bucks) account if (i) the re-activate request is received within two days of the card being suspended and (ii) a new card has not been issued. You can re-activate Your Campus Cash account at the Web Account Care Center, which is located on line at bcpass.campuscardcenter.com or by calling the Bloomfield College BCPass Service Center at Center at 888-989-3534, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 6 pm Eastern Time.
