Student Art Exhibition Jane 2023

A student art exhibition entitled Paper & Canvas, Observed Expressions of Life, has been installed at the newly revived Bloomfield College Scott H. Kaplan ’02 Art Gallery. An opening reception is scheduled at 4 p.m. on January 19, 2023 in the gallery space located on the second floor of the College Library, 80-86 Oakland Avenue, Bloomfield, New Jersey. The public is invited.

Comprising exercises from the division of Creative Arts and Technology’s fall semester drawing and painting classes, the collection captures students’ reactions to and observations of the world around them.

The artwork encompasses diverse media including pastel, pencil, charcoal and acrylic paint and is executed on various surfaces such as paper, cardboard and canvas. Each piece reflects the artist’s individuality and unique perspective.

Adjunct professors Kelly Cuenca, Jill Kastner and Liz Seaton installed the exhibition which is scheduled to remain open through January 27, 2023. Gallery hours for the exhibition are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4p.m.
