Bloomfield College Students Network with Companies at Career Fair

On Thursday, September 28, 2017, Bloomfield College held its annual Fall Career and Volunteer Expo. The fair provided Bloomfield College students with the opportunity to network with 25 employers from various industries recruiting for part-time, full-time, and internship positions. The Expo was co-sponsored by the Center for Leadership and Student Engagement.

A number of companies, both national and local, such as ADP; the FBI; New Jersey Peace Action of Bloomfield; the YMCA of Garfield; Kinder Smile Foundation; numerous healthcare companies; and police departments gathered in Westminster Hall Room 110 for two hours, talking and trading information with Bloomfield College students.

Along with job opportunities, the day was also designed to help students get to know local companies and hone interview skills.

“The Fall 2017 Career and Volunteer Expo was a big success,” said Rachel M. Jackiewicz, Director of the Center for Career Development. “Our students walked away from the Expo with numerous professional contacts and job leads. Many of our employer partners raved about the student turnout, and indicated they will be contacting our students for official interviews.”

Nearly 400 Bloomfield College students attended the Expo.
