Test Prep services are available to Bloomfield College of Montclair State University students, alumni and the community at large. All Bloomfield College students will be required to pay a $20 non-refundable fee to reserve their place for any test prep session.
Current Students: Please go to the OTWASS after accessing your MyBloomfield Portal Page to receive your code for test prep services (You will be required to present your valid BC ID card at each workshop to verify that you are a current student).
Alumni: Please email test_center@bloomfield.edu with your student ID number to request the 30% alumni discount code for test prep services.
Refund Policy: Refunds will not be given for services that have already been rendered. Only an exchange of services will be provided in the form of a workshop at a different time.
Parking: Main campus lot located at 225 Liberty Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 (Inquire at Security Office). Metered street parking is also available.
Available Prep Courses
All workshop series will include:
- Overview of exam structure and what to expect on test day
- An explanation of the scoring and retake policy
- Test taking strategies
- Exam content instruction
- Extensive and focused drill exercises
Students who enroll in these courses will:
- Identify their deficiencies through pre and post-assessments.
- Review content identified as deficiencies through the pre-assessment.
- Develop critical test-taking skills through a detailed overview of the test format, content, and scoring.
- Test their knowledge using sample questions that reflect the content and format of the test.
PRAXIS Core Prep
The PRAXIS Core math (5733) and verbal (Reading 5712, Writing 5722) tests are required or accepted for admission into many teacher prep programs and for teacher certification in most states.
PRAXIS Core Test Prep workshops are offered online, face-to-face, and boot camp intensive. Students have the option to choose the style that best meets their individual needs. All workshops are designed for individuals that have prior experience with content knowledge.
All PRAXIS Core Pathways will be conducted using Google Classroom. Students will need a Gmail account to utilize all of the workshop resources. (Bloomfield College students will use their college email account.)
Five-week Praxis Core Math and Verbal Intensive
Intensive test prep for individuals who have strong content knowledge but need to review test-taking strategies in timed conditions.

- Offered: Twice each semester (Fall, Spring and Summer).
- Duration: 2 hrs. once a week for 5 weeks
PRAXIS Core Math: Topics covered are pre & post assessments, number and quantity, algebra and functions, geometry, statistics and probability, and test-taking tips.

TEAS Test Prep Workshops are offered face-to-face once a week for 5 weeks. Workshops are designed to refresh the content knowledge of pre-nursing students and prepare them to take the ATI TEAS® exam. All workshops are intended for individuals that have prior experience with content knowledge.

How long are TEAS Prep workshops?
