Two distinguished citizens will receive honorary degrees from Bloomfield College as part of the private, four-year College’s 149th commencement, President Marcheta P. Evans, Ph.D., announced today.
BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Bloomfield College Board of Trustees approved a new Bachelor of Arts degree program in Criminology and Social Justice at its last meeting of the spring semester held on April 1, 2022.
For the fourth year in a row, The Princeton Review has named Bloomfield College a top undergraduate school for Game Design.
President Marcheta P. Evans has been recognized by ROI-NJ.com in its listing, ROI Influencers: Women in Business 2022.

Fourteen buses carrying up to 40 students each made their way from central and northern New Jersey to Bloomfield College to attend the Northern New Jersey National Hispanic College Fair that was held on its campus in Westminster Hall on March 8.

A free New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling (NJACAC) College Key workshop for historically underrepresented, low income and first-generation high school students took place at the Bloomfield College campus on Saturday, February 26. The event was attended by nearly 50 high school sophomores and juniors, and their parents/guardians.

The Bloomfield College Alumni Association (BCAA) hosted a well-attended Student Meet & Greet session on campus on the evening of February 22 to introduce current students to the new Alumni Board and Association members.

Bloomfield College Alumni Association (BCAA) leadership is fast tracking a number of new initiatives with full committee support. One such initiative, their desire to establish an Emeritus Committee that will advise the new executive committee, requires an update to the organization’s by-laws.
Bloomfield College has always been grateful for its positive town and gown relationships. Its partnership with close by Toni’s Kitchen in Montclair, is one such relationship that supports its students on a weekly, sometimes, daily basis. Based out of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, this food support ministry is providing hot meals, bagged meals and groceries that have become essential to students.

Members of the Bloomfield College Alumni Association (BCAA) cast their votes in December to elect new leadership.

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Bloomfield College Men’s Basketball Team is gearing up for a strong showing at The 2021 Harlem Renaissance Classic. The “Hardwood Hoops in Harlem” event is scheduled on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Nat Holman Fieldhouse located on the campus of City College of New York, 160 Convent Avenue, New York, New York.

Community members are invited to a free live event at Bloomfield College’s Van Fossan Theater on Thursday, November 4, starting at 5:45 p.m.

Bloomfield College has been awarded 2021 funding totaling $4.25 million through two U.S. Department of Education’s Predominantly Black Institutions (PBI) Program grants to increase the College’s capacity to promote the postsecondary success of African-American students.

Bloomfield College has been recognized among the 2021 rankings of the “Best Prelicensure Bachelor of Science (BSN) Programs in New Jersey” by Nursing School Almanac. Specifically, the Bloomfield College nursing program was ranked no. 4 in the state.
