Access to Campus Buildings
Facility use is for students and employees only. Employees have 24 hour access to the buildings that they work in only. All students and employees are required to carry their Bloomfield College identification cards at all times. Buildings are closed as per their individual schedules. Buildings that are leased to the College are subject to the access times the lease or property manager stipulates for hours of operation.
Building checks and campus tours are performed regularly by BC Security personnel. All residence facilities on campus are patrolled by security personnel 24 hours a day including regular tours of residence halls. Security will not provide access to any campus facility without prior written approval from REH or College Services/Physical Plant.
In the residence halls of Clee, Schweitzer, and 225 Liberty, visitors must sign-in and leave valid signed identification at the Security Desk. Students must co-sign for their guests and escort them to their rooms and escort them out when they leave. Students are responsible for their guests and their behavior at all times. Visiting hours are posted in the Office for Residential Education and the REH website. Students and guests identification not picked up will be turned in to BC Security personnel who will then locate the visitor(s) and escort them out of the residence hall.
Normal hours of operation are subject to change during the summer and on recognized holidays when the campus is closed.
