Bloomfield College often discounts tuition by more than 30% for our students, and with the other financial aid programs we offer, a student’s out of pocket expense can be as low as $0 per year!
Financial Aid is a combination of many types of resources. The award a student receives from Bloomfield College is based not only on merit, but also need based federal and state grants, federal loans, and work study. Typically we categorize financial aid in three ways: Scholarships, Grants, and Self-Help (Loans).
After you apply for aid we use that information to determine your eligibility for the federal, state, and institutional programs. The sooner you complete the aid application process, the sooner you will receive an award letter that details all the programs you qualify for. Some offers of aid may require follow-up, further instructions will be included with subsequent award notification.

Grants
State Need Based Aid
To be considered for the state grant programs below, you must complete the State Supplemental Questions at the conclusion of your FAFSA application or apply online through HESAA. EOF eligibility will be determined from our EOF and Admissions Offices.
- New Jersey EOF Grant (Educational Opportunity Fund)
EOF is a grant provided by the State of New Jersey for students who are both economically and academically disadvantaged. Recipients must be New Jersey residents for at least 12 months and indicate on the admission application that they wish to be a part of the program. - New Jersey TAG (Tuition Aid Grant)
TAG is a grant provided by the State of New Jersey to full-time, undergraduate students who meet their need based criteria. Recipients must be New Jersey Residents for at least 12 months.
Federal Need Based Grants
- Federal SEOG (Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant)
Students who are Pell Eligible and who applied before our FAFSA priority deadline (March 15th). Funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. - Federal Pell Grant
Eligibility is determined by the FAFSA, and is for those with financial need. Students pursuing their first undergraduate degree, and who have not previously used their Pell Lifetime Entitlement may qualify for up to $6,095 per year in the Federal Pell Program.
