The Media Center is located on the lower level of the Bloomfield College Library and can be contacted at extension 1370, or by email at Media_Center@Bloomfield.edu.

Media Center Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Closed Saturday and Sunday
Summer hours may vary; please call to confirm the department is open before visiting.
Media Loans: The Media Center has an extensive and wide ranging collection of documentaries, feature films and series to support all aspects of the College curriculum, as well as media for personal enjoyment. We encourage faculty to visit the Center and browse the collection. Titles may also be searched for using the Library’s on-line database at https://bc-ind.daphnis.opalsinfo.net/bin/home
Advance notice is requested in order to ensure media is available when required. All media is loaned for a period of one week, with extensions if necessary. Media needed for use in evening and weekend classes may be retrieved at the Library circulation desk. (Preferred: 3 days advance notice)
(Students may not borrow media, but may screen in-house in our viewing rooms.)
Please note: Bloomfield College media is to be used to support Bloomfield College classes only.
Classroom equipment: All classrooms are equipped with podium PCs, video/data projectors, internet access, sound systems and equipment to play DVDs and videotapes. These classrooms are maintained by the IT department. Below are items provided by the Media Center:
Video/data projectors: The Media Center will provide video/data projectors in locations where they not installed. (Required: 1 week advance notice )
Laptops: Laptops required for presentations are provided by the IT department. The Media Center has PC and Mac laptops for use when the IT units are not available
Audio equipment: Media Center will provide audio support for special events on campus. For full details on available equipment please call extension 1370.
Special Event Recording: On-campus event recording may be requested with 2 week advance notice to arrange personnel availability
Weekend and evening special events will be supported according to archival needs, given 2 weeks advance notice to arrange personnel availability (call x1370).
(Video recording in Van Fossan theatre is provided by theatre technical staff.)
Additional Equipment: Field audio recorders, Flip digital cameras, digital voice recorders, portable document cameras, sound bar speakers for laptops, PowerPoint clickers, multi-region DVD players
