The Bloomfield College Learning Enrichment and Academic Program (L.E.A.P.) provides students with comprehensive support to help them fulfill their dreams of graduating college.

PROGRAM INCLUDES:
Mathematics, Writing & College Preparation
Free Lunch (for nonresidential participants)
Free Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (for residential participants)

Summer Requirements (MANDATORY):
Your successful transition into Bloomfield College is contingent upon the successful completion of the Summer Incoming Freshman Program. In order to successfully complete L.E.A.P., you are expected to:

  • Attend all summer classes and arrive to class on time

  • Earn a passing grade in the class

  • Attend all meetings with your Academic Support  Coach

 

Semester Requirements (MANDATORY):

  • Meet a minimum of 4 times each semester with your Academic Support Coach in CITEL

  • Attend a minimum of 2 educational enrichment workshops each semester hosted by CITEL

  • Utilize the Writing and/or Tutoring center at least 5 times each semester

 

TO SECURE YOUR PLACE IN THE L.E.A.P.  PROGRAM:
Pay your Bloomfield College Admission deposit online www.bloomfield.edu/deposit
Option A: Commuter Deposits are $150
Option B: Resident deposits are $250
(Deposits must be made by June 1, 2020 to secure housing in the FALL 2020!) 

 

TO SECURE YOUR SUMMER HOUSING IN THE L.E.A.P.  PROGRAM:
Housing preference is given to the first 40 students who deposit. Only 40 summer housing spaces available. Space is limited!

 

L.E.A.P. Acceptance Benefits
Students who successfully complete this Summer course will:

  • Earn FREE COLLEGE CREDITS toward graduation elective requirements (4 credits/1 Course Unit)

  • Save money with the SUMMER SCHOLARSHIP (Value $3,670)

  • Receive a TRAVEL STIPEND for the summer program in the form of bus tickets for non residential participants or housing is available

  • Be eligible for a  BOOK SCHOLARSHIP divided into two disbursements

  • Have the chance to waive into the next level math and/or writing courses

  • Receive a FREE Student Planner

 

Fall of 2020 and Spring of 2021
Students will:

  • Develop skills that will help them succeed in first-year math and writing courses 

  • Learn how to successfully navigate the transition from high school to college

June 25 Pick up your ID Card 
June 29 - July 23 Classes

 

Please note that housing for all is NOT guaranteed for the summer program. Only 40 summer housing spots are available and are given to the first 40 students who deposit to Bloomfield College. Housing can NOT be guaranteed  for the Fall 2020 semester. 

Attendance is required.  Only 1 emergency absence is considered and must be approved by the Director.
