Fourth-Year Pathways
Seniors, you have worked diligently to this point to be prepared for success, now its time to embark on your professional journey!
Fourth Year: Implementation & Transition Planning - PATHWAY IV
- Students will refer to planner with faculty academic advisor to fill out graduation application
- Students will meet with faculty academic advisor to discuss major and/or major changes
- Register for HUM220: Ignite Your Passion Course if it aligns with major guidelines.
- Students will meet with a member of CAACE to finalize job search or graduate/professional school plans. Assistance can also be provided by the McNair Scholars Program and OTWASS Grad Prep Program.
- Students will attend programs and career related workshops targeted for seniors that will be scheduled by CAACE
- Students will work with CAACE to confirm faculty, mentors and past/current employers who can serve as professional references
- Students will continue to engage with their mentor and begin to think of how they can become mentors to underclassmen, post-graduation
- Students will prepare for job interviews or graduate school by meeting with a member of CAACE
- Students will meet with a member of CAACE to prepare and update resume and cover letter
- Formulate an alternate "Plan B" in case of need to make career adjustments with the help of CAACE
- Finalize e-portfolio and professional profiles in Handshake and LinkedIn
