U.S. Representative Frelinghuysen visits campus

After a tour of the campus and a meeting with the College’s administrators, U.S. Representative Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ 11th District) had a chat session with some of the students from the Honors program and honor societies.

Ten students introduced themselves to the congressman and gave him some information about their backgrounds and studies. Frelinghuysen explained his duties and the scope of his congressional district, then took questions from the students. The questions ranged from political to personal, including how the congressional districts are drawn, what his goals are for his district and what he wanted to learn about Bloomfield College.

Frelinghuysen learned about Bloomfield College through the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of NJ. He spoke of the mission of the College in welcoming international students and offering the best in technology.
