Bloomfield College is making the application process easier for prospective students by partnering with The Common Application for the 2015-2016 academic year, Vice President for Enrollment Management Adam Castro announced today.
Giving students the opportunity to apply to over 600 U.S. colleges and universities through one simple, online application, the choice to align Bloomfield with the option was made by College administration after consulting with both local high school guidance counselors and previous applicants.
Students can create an account on the Application’s website – commonapp.org – and gain access to not only the user-friendly application, but additional alerts that will notify them when important documents and information are due throughout the process.
Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Bloomfield offers numerous financial aid and scholarship options for accepted students, with 97% of the College’s student body receiving some form of institutional financial aid or scholarship. Prospective students can also visit campus and meet one-on-one with a certified admissions counselor to determine their status and have their standard $40 application fee waved as part of the selection process.
“We partnered with The Common Application because the students and school counselors we work so closely with strongly believed it would help streamline the Bloomfield College application process,” said Castro. “We know the college search and application processes can be daunting and we want to make them both as easy as possible for future Bloomfield College Bears. It was an easy decision for us, and we are already hearing very positive feedback as we move forward with this initiative.”
