Bloomfield College Board of Trustee member, Hank Uberoi, is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Earthport Plc in London. Earthport is a UK based financial services company that provides a global payment network to the world’s largest banks, money transfer organizations, and eCommerce companies.
Today, the distinguished company visited the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square and in honor of the occasion, Uberoi rang the Closing Bell.
Uberoi was elected to the Bloomfield College Board of Trustees in 2002. He serves on the Investment Subcommittee and the Executive Committee and the Financial Affairs and Capital Projects Committee.
In November 2006, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Technology Governing Board for the State of New Jersey, a role he served until 2008. Until April 2004, he was the Chief Operating Officer and head of the Equities Long/Short Business at Citadel Investment Group in Chicago where he was on the Management Committee of the firm. He joined Citadel in 2002 from Goldman Sachs, where he spent 14 years, most recently as a partner and co-COO of the Technology Division. While at Goldman, he spent five years in London and served on several firm-wide governance boards, including the firm’s Compensation Committee.
In addition to being the CEO at Earthport, he is Managing Partner at HU Investments LLC, as well as an investor in private and public companies globally. He is a Director of several companies and organizations in the United States, the UK, and India. His primary focus is on companies related to Investments, Cross-Border transactions, Trading, other financial and technology, with a significant emerging markets focus.
