Bloomfield College is celebrating the success of its Giving Day 2023, surpassing its goal and raising $16,019 from 120 donors for the Bloomfield College Scholarship Fund.

“As we approach the merger with Montclair State University, it was important that our students see that the College community is as committed as ever to their success,” said Sarah Lacz, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. “Our students continue to be our main focus and the College is committed to making sure they are able to live out their dream of higher education.”

In recognition of the College’s upcoming milestone 150th commencement, this year’s Giving Day included a matching gift opportunity through the special generosity of Trustee Craig B. Lindsay ’76 who offered to match all donations up to $5,000. All scholarship gifts go directly to students, and have a transformative impact on their success as they pursue their degrees.

I am so inspired by our students who work so hard to fulfill their dreams, and I feel so grateful to all those who felt inspired to contribute during this Giving Day,” said Bloomfield College President Marcheta P. Evans, Ph.D. “As our students prepare for the historic changes that are to come in completing the planned merger that will establish Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, this highly successful giving day is a great sign of what the future may continue to bring.”
