Bloomfield College President Named a ROI 2020 Influencer for People of Color

ROI Influencers: People of Color list

Bloomfield College is pleased to announce that President Marcheta P. Evans has been named a “difference maker” by ROI-NJ.com in its listing, ROI Influencers: People of Color 2020.

In naming President Evans, ROI-NJ.com stated, “The first African American woman to be president at a college in New Jersey, Evans is out to change the way the state educates. At Bloomfield, more than 83% of the students are of color. Evans is determined to raise the number of students. And, more importantly, the number of graduates.”

According to ROI-NJ.com, the print and online news publisher started the ROI Influencers: People of Color list two years ago to show employers and others the number of talented people of color that are in the state.

In the announcement, the publisher wrote: “Here is what we are tired of: Business leaders and companies saying they would like to have a more diverse workforce, leadership team and board representation — but they struggle to find qualified candidates. This year, we made it our mission to double the number of honorees. The talent pool in New Jersey always overwhelms. We’re honored we can show it.”
