Alumni and Seniors gather for an evening of networking

Thinking about trying to find a job upon graduation can be daunting. One way to make it less stressful is to learn how to network among professionals. The Bloomfield College alumni offered their knowledge and advice to the graduating class of 2013 and helped them with networking ideas.

With several different professions being represented, including accounting, business, education, human resources, higher education, finance, and sales and marketing, the alumni offered advice in a “speed networking” method. Carol Ruiz, director of the center for career services, would announce when time was up and the seniors moved on to another table to speak with a different alumnus about job searches, careers, and advice on networking.

The seniors were pleased with what they had learned and the alumni were more than glad to share their knowledge and experience. Overall, it was a very successful evening.
