The Annual Korean Festival, held on Monday, October 22 on the Quad, brings food, games, dance, and exhibitions of Korean culture to the diverse Bloomfield College community. The event is sponsored by the division of International Training and Professional Studies (ITPS) and produced by members of the global internship and MAST (Math and Science Teachers) programs.
National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the cultural contributions of the Latino community to the larger fabric of Americana. This celebration began as a week by presidential decree in 1968 under the Johnson Administration and became a month of celebration in 1988.
First year college students come to campus energized, excited, and sometimes a little anxious and overwhelmed. This may be their first experience living on their own and away from home as well as taking on classes that bear little resemblance to their previous high school courses. They are now expected to be responsible for themselves and live with complete strangers for months at a time.
