DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS
Bloomfield College, a 145-year old college of 2000 plus students is committed to preparing students to attain academic, personal and professional excellence in a multicultural and global society. The College seeks a fulltime, highly motivated, and administratively skilled professional for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Central Office of Student Affairs. The Central Office oversees all departments within the Division of Student Affairs: Athletics; Campus Security and Switchboard; Center for Career Development ; Center for Student Leadership and Engagement; Counseling Center; Educational Opportunity Fund; Food Services; Health Services; Office of the Chaplain and the Residential Education and Housing. The Administrative Assistant will advise incoming students about College policies and procedures and will conduct all clerical duties for three administrators in the Central Office (the Vice President for Student Affairs and two Associate Deans). These clerical duties include but are not limited to data entry, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, conference attendance and travel, processing invoices, routing incoming calls, typing correspondences, and archiving records and files. The Administrative Assistant maintains a monthly calendar of events for the Division. The Administrative Assistant is also responsible for interviewing, training and supervising student employees. Some evening and weekend duties are required along with academic year and summer coordination of special programs, events and projects. Minimum requirements for the position: Two years of administrative/secretarial/clerical experience and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System. Administrative experience in higher education a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Creative Arts and Technology IT Technician
Bloomfield College is seeking a CAT IT Technician, working under the CAT IT Director, must have; knowledge of graphics software and practical knowledge of video input/output techniques and technologies, demonstrated experience in a networked MAC and PC computing environment, advanced knowledge of workstations and client computers that utilize OS X and Windows operating system families and must possess the ability to install, configure and repair software and hardware on these systems. Advanced knowledge of Macintosh and Windows server operating systems through Windows 2000 family, OSX Server 10.5+, and intermediate to expert experience with enterprise versions of Linux editions is required as this person should also assist with maintenance of department servers and services including but not limited to, Active Directory set up and management, Sysprep, Open Directory set up and management, NetInstall, DNS, AFP, SMB, extensive knowledge of setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting SharePoint environment for user files, network home folders and various network and cloud accessible shares. The candidate will have a strong understanding of distributed services in a corporate network environment.
