Bloomfield College’s Division of Creative Arts and Technology invites applications for a full time, tenure track position, at the rank of Assistant Professor of Creative Arts and Technology. The Division offers concentrations in the areas of animation, design, interactive multimedia, game design, music technology and video, photo and extended media. We are seeking an artist with an expertise in one or more areas of new media: digital photography, 2D/3D animation, expanded cinema, performance, 3D printing, physical computing, interactive, locative, web-based art making, game design and programming. Responsibilities include teaching six courses per year including courses based on specialization of candidate hired. The successful candidate will have the appropriate terminal degree for their field (M.F.A .or Ph.D.), a strong professional record of exhibitions, publications or productions, and excellence in teaching with at least three years of prior teaching experience. Knowledge of contemporary theory and criticism is expected.
