Interim Assistant Professor of History

Bloomfield College Division of Humanities is offering an Interim Assistant Professor position for a specialist in World History for AY 2016-2017. The teaching load of 3/3 will include our two-term undergraduate sequence in World History. The position is full time and compensation includes benefits package. Applicants will also be eligible to apply for our tenure-track position to begin AY 2017-2018. The area of specialization is open, but the division particularly welcomes applications from specialists in Latin American and Caribbean History who employ a transnational or world focus in their courses. Teaching excellence is the first priority of Bloomfield College.  Doctorate preferred but ABD candidates will be considered.   Bloomfield College is known for diversity and we hope to encourage applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds.

Adjunct Faculty Positions in Computer Science

Bloomfield College seeks adjunct faculty to teach courses in database technologies, operating systems and computer security. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree. Previous teaching experience is preferred.  These classes will be taught on-campus in Bloomfield, NJ.

Adjunct Faculty Positions in Freshman Level Mathematics

The Bloomfield College Natural Science and Mathematics Division has a number of sections of Transition to Collegiate Math, College Algebra, and Pre-Calculus that need instructors for the Fall 2016 semester. The semester begins on August 29, 2016.

Classes are at the freshman level, meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the day, and are supported by mandatory review sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Instructors have the choice of teaching both the class and the review sessions or having the review sessions directed by another individual. Applicants must possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field.  Teaching experience at the secondary or collegiate level preferred.
