Freshman Applicants
In addition to completed application,
submit:
- Non-refundable check or
money order in the amount of $40,
payable to Bloomfield College, or
signed fee
waiver request.
- Ask the College Board of the American
College Testing Program to forward
your SAT or ACT test results to
the Office of Admission. Bloomfield
College's code numbers are as follows:
SAT 2044 / ACT 2540. Test score
posted on official high school transcripts
are acceptable.
- Complete Part I of the Transcript
Request and Recommendation Form (printable
PDF format) and give it to your
principal, assistant principal
or guidance counselor to complete
and return with an official high
school transcript. Student
copies or transcripts stamped "Issued
to Student" will not be
accepted.
- Submit a graded essay/term
paper written in the last
year (preferred), or an essay on
one of the following topics:
- Write your own recommendation.
What makes you different from
other applicants? Evaluate
your strengths and weaknesses.
- Describe the feelings
you have had in the past three
years about your educational experience.
Be sure to mention any circumstances
that have had a special influence
on your education.
- If you have completed a GED,
forward official results of that examination
and your high school transcripts.
Transfer Applicants
Apply as a transfer student if you
will have completed 12 semester hours
prior to enrollment at Bloomfield College.
(High school seniors with advanced
placement and college credits should
apply for freshman status. An
evaluation of advanced standing status
will be made.)

Adult Students: Traditional Semester Programs
Adult students who have previously
attended college are considered transfer
applicants and should follow the transfer
procedure above. Adult students
who are planning to attend college for
the first time must submit the following:
- Application for admission accompanied
by application fee of $40.
- An official transcript of the high
school record, to be mailed directly
to the College by the high school,
or a copy of the high school equivalency
diploma (GED) certificate.
Adult Student Criteria:
To be considered an adult candidate,
students must have completed high
school a minimum of four years prior
to the start of their intended semester.
Candidates with a high school equivalency
must have a valid GED certificate,
and be at least 22 years of age.
NOTE: the College does not require
SAT or ACT scores of adult student candidates.
Adult Students: Accelerated Certificate Programs
We offer accelerated, credit-bearing certificate programs that meet the needs of adult students who wish to obtain specialized skills to enhance or advance your professional standing in a minimum amount of time without compromising quality or standards.

Recognizing the demands made on full-time working adults, the Accelerated Certificate Program provides an opportunity for serious academic pursuit within a schedule that provides for balance in their lives. Courses are offered in a variety of delivery modes—traditional face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online—on weekdays and Saturdays. Courses are run in 7-week sessions, and students may complete as many as 12 courses during a 12-month period.
Bloomfield College has small, personal classes, as well as expert, caring faculty. You, the adult learner, will find an opportunity to work with faculty with professional experience who draw upon their students’ strengths while, at the same time, recognize their distinctiveness as nontraditional students.
International Applicants
International students are asked to
complete this application form and enclose
a non-refundable check or money order
(in US funds) payable to Bloomfield
College. One receipt of this application,
additional forms and instructions will
be forwarded to the international applicant.

Fee Waiver Request
If the $40 application fee would be
burdensome to you and your family, you
may request a waiver of the fee. You
MUST include a signature from your guidance
counselor or financial aid officer. If
you are submitting a paper application,
the waiver request is located in a box
above the signature area. If
submitting your application form online,
simply submit a written request, signed
by you and your guidance counselor,
by mail.
