How to become a nurse at Bloomfield College

Frances M. McLaughlin '45 Division of Nursing

Nursing is a dynamic profession that requires intelligence, hard work and critical thinking skills. However, it is often the simple desire to care for people that leads one to choose a nursing career.

Should you decide to learn how to become a nurse or move from an RN to BSN, you will have a wide variety of career options from which to choose. Perhaps you will enter a fast-paced specialty, such as ER or intensive-care nursing. Maybe, the more predictable nature of a doctor’s office appeals to you. You might choose to work with paraplegics, cardiac patients or newborns or possibly pursue a graduate degree with the goal of being an educator. Combine your skill of science with your passion for helping others.
