"Promoting Interaction to Enrich Learning”
Classroom interaction is a fundamental tool teachers use to try to engage students in active learning. However, it can be difficult to establish a class culture in which discussion is an integral learning activity. Facilitating high quality interaction isn’t easy. Many students clearly don’t want to participate. Others do so reluctantly with short, tentatively offered comments. Those who don’t participate come to rely on those who do and sometimes those who contribute do so a bit more than we’d like. This interactive plenary explores the challenges teachers face and provides strategies to promote interaction to advance learning. http://www.lolitapaff.com/ about-me
