Bloomfield graduates returned to campus to share their professional knowledge with future alumni March 26, as the institution held its annual Alumni/Student Networking Dinner in the Franklin Street Residence Hall’s President Richard A. Levao Multipurpose Room.

Hosted by the College's Center for Career Development, Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Association, the evening was a chance for over 90 Bloomfield students past and present to come together and create valuable, lasting connections while growing their respective networks through a shared alma mater.

“The annual Networking Dinner is one of the highlights of the academic year for us,” said Center for Career Development Director Carol Ruiz. “Both current students and alumni come away learning more about career fields and options available to them, and what networking is really all about.

“The most powerful ‘wireless’ connection we can make is a face-to-face meeting, and this event is a shining example of that.”

An on-campus resource for both current Bloomfield students and graduates, the Center for Career Development offers several services – including guidance from career counselors, workshops, practice interviews and resume/cover letter assistance – designed to help members of the institution’s community reach their professional goals.

"It is remarkable how many alumni return to campus to network with our current students; it continues to amaze me with each passing year,” said Vice President for Institutional Advancement Jackie Bartley. “The connections that are fostered between alumni and current students at this event show that our graduates are continuing to live our mission long after they are students here. Preparing our current students for success in today's society is our most important job, and to have both the students and our alumni invest in that goal is truly special."
