Bloomfield College to Welcome Top Execs to Campus for Women’s Panel

By Alicia Cook

Bloomfield College has just announced its third annual Women’s Leadership Forum. The highly anticipated event will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at noon in the Shelby Art Room (Library).

The response to past panels were so positive, the College decided to continue using it as a way for the campus to learn and celebrate the accomplishments of women.

This year’s panel is comprised of five women, all leaders in their respective fields. Participating are Susan V. Bershad, MD, Director of Adolescent Dermatology at Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice; Bloomfield College alumna Lisa Dews ’02, Manager of the Health & Wellness Department at Prudential Financial; Patricia R. Flynn, Associate Vice President of Employee Wellness at Northwell Health; Bloomfield College alumna Michele Schmidt ’96 RN, Executive Director, Global Project Leadership, Hematology/Oncology at Celgene Corporation; and Michele Sorvino, Executive Director of the Golden Door International Film Festival.

Moderating the dynamic panel is Bloomfield College’s own Dr. Jeanne Nutter, Professor of Broadcast Journalism, Coordinator of the Broadcast Journalism major.

Topics to be discussed include professionalism, mentorships, networking, internships, and work/life balance. The program will conclude following a Q&A session.

The College looks forward to this event.
