Bloomfield College Alumna to Appear in Upcoming Play 'Man of the House'

On Saturday, August 20, the number one urban stage play, “Man of the House,” will celebrate its second anniversary on stage at the Westminster Arts Center at Bloomfield College.

“Man of the House” is produced by A-Diamond Entertainment and written and directed by A-Diamond Entertainment’s CEO, A’ndre Davis. The play, which is centered around the complicated dynamic of one man’s relationship, incorporates drama, comedy, and music.

In addition to writer/producer/director, the leading male role of "James" is played by Davis. His experience as a singer includes opening for some of the best in today's R&B music including Jaheim, Tamia, Tank, Joe, Avant, Brian Mcknight, Anthony Hamilton, Patti Labelle, and Wendy Williams to name a few. Theater credits include "Dreamgirls," "After The Walk," featuring Kelly Price, and "Underneath It All," featuring Kierra Sheard.

“Man of the House” features various up and coming artists from the New York City, Tri-State area including Bloomfield College Alumna, Tamara Stewart ’96.  Also appearing in the play is Pretty Ricki Fontaine, a comedian who has been featured on BET's Comic View and Magic Johnson's Aspire Network. The celebrity guest for this show is R&B Singer "J-Boog" of the group B2K.

The curtain opens for “Man of the House” promptly at 5:00 p.m. on August 20.
